Paintballing
I hate war
But Paintballing
Rouses me
From my peaceful slumber
Into a world
Where war is fun
Because lives aren't
Splattered like paint
Onto limitless
Deathly white canvasses
I turn from a Saint
Into some Kamikazi
Ninja Commando
Courage grows
Round by round
As stinging blows
Sing of bruises to come
The trees stretch
To the sky above
As other canvassed ones
Masked
Paint massacre;
Dart like scared
Cattle between
Instinctual love of
Chase and catch
Without the actual
Oblivion
A small but mightily
Inadequate
Glimpse of fear
And pain and
Battle.

'I turn from a Saint
Into some Kamikazi
Ninja Commando
Courage grows...'
I missed this first time round. I agree with Phil it is a marvellous work.
'Where war is fun Because lives aren't
Splattered like paint..'
Great thoughts.
