Owen Lowery and David Constantine at Lancaster literature festival
Former British judo champion, Owen Lowery, pictured, who suffered a spinal injury while competing and is now a tetraplegic, will be reading at Lancaster literature festival on Sunday 19 October. His first major poetry collection, Otherwise Unchanged, was published in 2012 by Carcanet, and his latest collection, Rego Retold, will be published in January 2015. More details. Also on the festival bill is David Constantine, presenting his new collection, Elder, marking the poet and translator’s 70th birthday. Lancaster literature festival is on from 16-20 October.
