Tricked
Tricked
The deception wasn’t warranted,
We only came to see the heavens,
To spiral through galaxies from the Black Hole
Hidden within the Sun,
To find the paradise that across the universe,
Holds everything, in awe!
The deception
Came so fast, collected
All aboard for incarceration
And for what,
For why in this quarter do
We sit within these prisons
And idle away in pain,
In solitude -
Till death; - be our only release?
Reasons of choice have failed;-
Their understanding of
Liberty and freedoms gone,
For their inclinations are
Only to destroy the lost
Thoughts of grace – the guardians
Meant so well;
As callously, they have
Rewritten the sanctuary created -
For the favour of a purse;
A purse in souls that holds - secret bargains!
Time stretches like a band
Of rubber that will one day
Recoil any favours,
And whence upon that day
We stream like blood through open veins
That have no breath,
No destination
Only a stench of staleness;
Then we’ll know we are dead,
Dead like Earth with
It’s promise of faraway satellites of pleasure,
Dead like those deceived
And bereaved of freedoms,
Dead like the craft that burns
In the heat of the Sun,
Dead like the visionaries
That once created Worlds.
