The Leather Belt
The Leather Belt
(dedicated to my sister Jay, with love from your proud brother).
Are you really sure the identity
behind those red brick walls, is all you know?
Can you say behind closed doors,
everything there is the norm
we really want to hold?
Check for scars,
marvel at the process of abusers whips,
upon an age three girl.
It burns,
burns the eyes of a brothers
pride with tears for all that
she endured.
It begs receipt for
counselling when fourty-four,
just a child,
witnessed by mine angel eyes,
no love of learnt behaviour,
the false nostalgia - your romance
of insanity, behind
the red brick walls.
