TWO DAUGHTERS
TWO DAUGHTERS
I painted with you
But lost the plot
Would carry you when your legs were broken
Or a splinter in your eye
Would rock you to sleep
And dress up in disguise
The years have rocked by ..
With many thorns brushing our side
But no pin prick took away our love
It was built on Disney films
Books from libraries
Imaginary games we played
Your lives are a gift ...
And a memory that never fades
