Everything Changes

Everything changes.

You can't step in the same river twice.

Life sweeps in cycles, free wheeling,

leaves you reeling from the fight.

Snapshots snipe at your ankles,

shortness fights you for breath,

gasping at the quickening pace and the

strickening snippet left.

Everything changes.

You can't step in the same river twice.

So, every so often (some say thrice)

patterns shift, gears transition,

click into a new phase of life.

Leave you stunned, under prepared,

dazed like a double edged knife.

Everything changes.

You can't step in the same river twice.

Hi Nat, I really like the repetition in this one, and my favourite line: Snapshots snipe at your ankles
And the pace is great too, xx
