The Epiphany
The Epiphany
Wow,
Oh my god!
An angel blessed dressed and there,
wings
wings that span the universe!
There she is, stood before me,
My mind dancing this beauty of an
all encompassing angel -
and love, such warm tender feelings
that silence me, feelings that have
for all these years evaded me throughout
the shadows of each day.
And I sense the global warming
be a warning to the soul.
Earth is close,
close on conceding loss, loss
of our each and every species,
each and every person
puzzled by the sickening of this
present day humanity,
and I in turn am lost for words
within the scriptures of my life.
She stands before me
a tablet held close to her chest and I
read the words on a day the Saints begged
of God a rescue for the Earth,
and my tears are shed, shed for lonely
souls who wished the leaders be aware,
and the words echo around my mind
and wakes the soul blinded by the lies
and hurt from conflict.
The angel recites the words scrawled upon
the tablet of my soul written by the scribe
that is God himself, and as I wake,
the kind words begin the restoration of
my faith,
“Have spirit, follow your heart
in all its truth, and beat the pulse across
the Earth to the rhythm of one drum,
wake the leaders of nations fast and state;
the beginning of the end of battledom and
war has just begun.
And I awake from overdose of sleepers,
my waking moment be the rescue of a
fall from grace,
my disgrace at losing faith in God,
and my prayer begs all; reverse the states
of war on a globe that is the present from our
God,
Our God,
and I shout with all my heart,
“Stop the indiscriminate killing of
the life we hold in awe, our fellow human
Being.”
