I love you like the flames love the wood

that it claims

with its fiery passion.

 

I love you like the sea loves the shore,

as it kisses the soft sand 

with each passing wave.

 

I love you like the sun loves the moon,

as it hides its burning beauty just so the moon can shine,

even with all of its imperfections.

 

I love you like the rain loves the soil,

as it falls away from the only home its ever known,

even though its just for a little while.
