Down, run down, town

entry picture

Iron balconies

grey painted doors.

Black, black peeling

stripped from the halls.

Barrels stacked high

almost symmetrical.

Chirp, cheep, chirp

visit the grey wagtail

tails in sync with the rock band.

"One Direction" arrived

well the lookalikes of distraction.

Strum, beat, drum, synth

walking on a plinth.

Church bells ring out

she sings.

Clap, roar

down, run down, town.

Drain pipes powder blue

her name Sue.

From who, which, where, what,

sentenced at the courts

not a whore.

Skinny jeans

white tops

suede ankle boots

the milleniums

they aren't on 'Top of the Pops'.

Overgrown

shrubs tumbling down

crevices dancing across the floor.

Tower

witches hats on the skyline

remembering one day at a time.

They left

one pipped up

"I'm having a nice beer here "

Macchiatos plays "Fight"

her past fades

she is set for the next flight.

Photo, necklace made by self.

I'm crying out baby ►
