Best spoken word night, best performer, best show? Voting deadline nears for Saboteur awards
Time is running out for voting in the Saboteur indie lit awards, with the deadline Sunday 24 May. The list of nominations for awards include best regular spoken word night (Bad Language, Bang Said the Gun, Evidently, Project U, Say Owt Slam); best spoken word performer (Stu Freestone, Oz Hardwick, Hollie McNish, Chimene Suleyman, Sophia Walker); and best spoken word show (Jackie Hagan, Ross Sutherland, Colin Davies, Hannah Silva, Sophia Walker). Other categories include best pamphlet, best collaborative work, best magazine, and most innovative publisher. You can vote here. The Saboteur awards ceremony, organised by Sabotage Reviews, will take place on Sunday, 31 May, at Vout-O-Reenees, Prescott Street, London E1 8BB, with a book fair, performances and panel discussions from 2-6pm (free entry), and awards from 6.30-10pm (£5/£4 concessions). Tickets can be purchased here. The awards are supported this year using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
