Last Letter

Last Letter

I remember picking up the pen and having to feel the pelting rain
The heavy air suffocates me as I slowly touch upon your face,
With each stroke of remembrance the storm seemed so far away
Only the good days exist like a sunshine on a cloudy day,
So I begin to write the prequel to our yearly chapters worth
The beginning of everything and the standing still of the Earth,
Where our love was at its greatest
Where our love never failed,
You and I were bound by heaven
Now it seems like we're sent from hell,
So with every word that I carve
I can feel the bleeding of the heart,
Each sentences longer than the next
Each cut deeper than before,
To think where would I leave this last letter
To think that we would be no more,
Like the poison to Romeo
I'll leave this last letter with my corpse,
And all the words that meant so much
Are blank with innocence,
You and I...
We were just never meant....
