A Bottle of Champagne!

I was woken up today,

With the knocking at my door

It was not even 7,

Too early! For all I know

I slipped twice before I reached the door,

When I opened it, nobody! No show!

I gave a quick peek, to the outside road

That's when I stumbled upon the bottle kept below.

It was a bottle of champagne and a note,

I picked the bottle, and leaned to the door

My hands slipped and the bottle broke!

I felt shame, and was still in the shock

I picked the note, and wanted to read

My hands were greasy, smelled like oil seed.

The note said "Good Morning Joey! Are you still in sleep?"

then, I heard laughters from my neighbor's door,

It was a prank, I smiled, I had not known...

My neighbor came out, and apologized to me,

It was his daughters Birthdays, and she wanted to give me sweets!
