therapy

he went in search of therapy

to find a place of liberty

he travelled, wandered carelessly

on roads that stretched eternity

but he found no love

the time he spent was needlessly

wasted, lost and momentary

he came, he stopped, he moved upon

a continent that inched along

but there was no-one there

he always, maybe, felt pursued

a face amongst the multitude

he turned his back and left one day

sought a new life far away

but he could not hide

he stood where others stood before

watched the waves crash on the shore

thought about his life back home

the memories now monochrome

but the time had come

the therapy he hoped to find

was never there, was never kind

the world revolved, his story told

into the sea his pain dissolved

but there could be no rest
