entry picture

A multimedia live literature production that won the Ted Hughes award for innovation in 2014 is to be shown in London for the first time. Zones of Avoidance, written and performed by poet Maggie Sawkins and directed by Mark C Hewitt, tells the story of a daughter’s drug addiction, seen through a mother’s eyes, in language and film, and includes the real-life testimonies of addicts in recovery. There will be three evening shows at the Cockpit theatre in Marylebone at 7.45pm on and 29 and 30 September, and 1 October, and two matinees, on 30 September at 2pm, and  1 October at 4pm.
