The relationship between science and poetry is on the agenda at Write Out Loud Sale on Tuesday 15 September at the Waterside arts centre, when the special guest will be Sam Illingworth, a lecturer in science communication at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Part of his research involves investigating the relationship between science and poetry. The majority of his writing involves recent pieces of scientific research which he hopes to communicate to a wider audience in a more accessible manner.
