To sleep, perchance to dream - and then to write?
Experimental poet Winston Plowes is inviting fellow poets this weekend to join him online at Sleepeasy, to “Sleep, Dream & Write”, in a “nocturnal experiment in subconscious writing” in parallel with Radio 3’s all-night broadcast of Max Richter’s eight-hour lullaby, SLEEP. Composed in consultation with American neuroscientist David Eagleman, the "lullaby for a frenetic world" is intended to be heard while sleeping.
Winston said: “I invite dwellers of cyberspace to join me … to listen in our sleep on the night of the 26 September from midnight till 8am on R3 and then spontaneously write in any style immediately upon waking. Then post up anything you create as a comment on the Sleepeasy Facebook events page or the Write Out Loud events page if you are not on Facebook.”
