From Evolution (95)
FROM EVOLUTION
From out of the sea,
not safe on land,
up into trees,
Swing branch to branch.
Through canopies with the passing of time,
Form our tribes and followed our lines.
Then down we came, finding our feet,
we uprighted ourselves, following the beat,
of evolution.
Grow in mind, tall and strong,
Walk into Empires
singing our songs.
Fearless progressions.
dividing professions,
and societies laws of right from wrong.
But for how long will this last?
Or is our destiny
wrapped up in our past ?
An icy watery grave or
desert grains,
an urban fossil,
Or forgotten remains?
To what conclusions,
will our appearances change,
as stars make conjunctions,
and re-arrange?
For prophets are many,
But fools, there are more,
who all are wanting to bite down to the core,
as to when our maker
will awake and roar
and finally close creation’s door.
