Sophie Hall is a Super Heroine of Slam
At an incredibly close poetry slam at Hole in T’Wall pub, Sophie Hall (pictured) pipped Pete Crompton at the post to win the second heat of Commonword's Superheroes of slam. Now, as well as the £50 first prize, she is eligible to compete with the October final of the competition.
Third place went to Richard Eccles with 4th place going to Emma Decent.
It was a memorable night with a special guest appearance by Chris Jam and a very high standard in the competition which was reflected in the scores with seven of the first round competitors getting over 40 points (out of 50).
If you fancy a shot being a slam champion then why not enter for the next slam competition, heat 3 of the Superheroes of slam to be held at the Tudor House on 3rd of August - click on this link http://www.writeoutloud.net/public/slams.php?slamid=14
