Spirits Among Us
To understand life and death,
you must walk the road
through the cemeteries,
walk the earth
that breathes
life and death.
The stone tablets
will tell you
of the stories,
reveal the memories
of the ones
that left us,
the ones we mourn,
and the ones
that changed our life.
Forever etched in stone,
their names are eternal,
and their love,
their life
to never be forgotten.
We think that they left us.
This cemetery is proof.
As we walk this road,
this earth,
we never stop to look.
We never realize.
They are still here,
watching and guiding us.
They never left.
We can't see them,
but we can feel them.
We can hear them
in the midst of our dreams,
calling and calling our name.
We are still here.
We still exist.
We still love you.
And as we walk blind,
they walk
with us,
never to leave our side
until the day,
where we see
them again.

Melissa, This is wonderful, and yes they do walk with us and at times we can feel them, its freaky! In dreams they do talk to us, I love the poem and the pic is wonderful. I have a small video a friend sent me of orbs, its awsome! Loved this poem really hit home with me. thanks
