A Mother's Heart
Wishing for a mother
One that hasn't left me bare
One that hasn't stolen my money
One that has great hair
One whose kisses make you feel loved
One who doesn't judge
One who supports your mistakes and one that shares your heartbreaks
One that doesn't drink herself to sleep
One that doesn't make you weak
I wish for a mother that held me when I cry
With a gentle head rub led with a relieving sigh
One that wasn't too broke to pay for my education
One that isn't selfish enough to spend money on her addictions
This woman was there and I know she still may be
But our personalities have drifted apart in the world of the sea
I hope soon she'll hit rock bottom, where she'll find some support
Because I'll be waiting for her forever.
