Through the Woods
Through The Woods
Everywhere around us the tree's shadows follow
The birds are chirping nonsense
And we are to be blamed for each other's solitude
But no one saw our struggles in the woods
The cuts, scrapes, and bruises on our hearts
The suffocating silences and endless tears that fell
The third-degree burns that we've suffered from our fiery love
And how hard it was to destroy this place that we've called "Home"
But somehow we both made it out alive
Somehow, we both made it through the woods...
