I walked ahead

I stopped many times hoping for you to see

But you didn’t even glance at me

Now I have walked ahead

So set me free.

I walked bare feet

On the rainy days & in summer heat

It hurt as I began

But I dint want to run

I walked step by step

Experiencing all the pain

The roads rough & pitch dark

Now don’t call me back

I will never forget the road you made me take

With my eyes moist & heart so heavy

Dreams alive, But... I had to bury

Now don’t call me back

It ain’t gonna happen

I have walked ahead and I chose not to return.
