Sometimes you realise you're stronger than you thought,

In hindsight you can surely see,

The person you were you and all but had forgot,

Lost sight of the person you could be.

 

No matter in life what dragged you down,

You dragged yourself back up,

The strength you showed when no-one around,

You fought back and didn't give up!

 

So much in you that's an oversight,

Much more than you ever thought,

You put on your gloves, ready to fight,

For all that you knew you were not.

 

I remember a quote I read somewhere,

It assured me my hope's never gone,

It said remember to be so aware,

Of why I had held on so long.

 

It's safe to say that I've shocked some of them,

That thought alone makes me smile,

I always knew that one day then,

I'd see that my fight was worthwhile.
