Memory

Staring at this stone reminds me of you

The curve of the top, is the smile only I could see through

The way it sits on the ground

It brings back memories

When you started losing pound by pound

And the earth around us began to freeze

The only things I have left are the letters that are torn, ripped and bent

The letters that I should've but never did send

Now it's too late

And I've paid the price

You took the stairs to the golden gate

I should have tried harder after you attempted twice

I'm lost in this sea of misery

Surrounded by people trying to flee...

This world

They say the first thing you forget about someone is their voice

After you went and made your choice

I began to forget...

Forget the way you hugged

Forget the way you shrugged

Forget the way you smile

I even forgot the way you sound for a while

But I wasn't the only one...

You forgot about me

You forgot about your son...

I miss you mom...

I miss my superhero

My star when everything else is zero

Most of all... I miss your voice

I know one day we will rejoice

But until then I'll keep talking to this rock

Everyday at 6 o'clock

Under the trees

I love you mom... Rest in peace
