Tired
When she said she was tired,
No one understood that she felt her time had expired.
She was tired of feeling worthless,
And had been for far too long religiously faithless.
She was tired of being taken advantage,
No longer could she manage.
She was tired of trying to reach out,
Then being told she had no reason pout.
She was tired of feeling as though she wasn’t good enough,
And being told to suck it up and be tough.
She was tired of drowning in emotional and mental pain,
Just for others personal gain.
She was tired being hurt by the ones meant to protect,
While instead all they did was harm and reject.
She was tired of living this life,
So with tears streaking down her face, she lifted the knife.
No longer was she tired,
Because at long last, her life had expired.
