There was a fantastic night of poetry at the Tudor on Monday 3rd of August. Mark Mace Smith (pictured - photograph by Darren Thomas) was the eventual winner but the competition was fierce. Second was Michael Wilson, third Peter Crompton with, newcomer, Sean Karoonian a creditable 4th.

Congratulations to Mark, he goes on to compete in Commonword's "Superheroes of Slam" final to be held in Manchester in October. Details of the next heats in this competition can be found in the gig guide and we will highlight them nearer the time.
