"Slaithwaite Sun"
"Slaithwaite Sun"
The sun is shining, this is refreshing, even refining ,some may say
this could be a defining moment for us pasty bipeds to absorb
some photosynthesis ,to cure those ails and wails of joint inflame
and other pain of ill health and winter strife.
The air filling up loudly, bees with furry knees, butterflies
burst forth, from their chrysalis cocoons, all the colours
of the rainbow and more, this you cannot ignore.
We take off our outer clothes, shedding our winter skins,
exposing our knobbly knees and white ghostly shins.
What a beautiful day ,people are starting to regain their
smiley ways,standing tall with up-right postures,instead
of uptight gestures.
May,many a sunny day now flow, let nature grow and
Mother nature glow, over our ravished isles.
The view from our Pennine hills,is a mighty splendiferous
thing. On a right day like today, you can see for miles, look
very carefully and you can see far off distant smiles
of the good god fearing folk of West Yorkshire.
Life is no yolk up here, work is hard, but the people
are tough, let the sun keep shining, cos it stops us
all,from bloody whining.
