A church to divert the populace

and disguise all hopeful lies

that subvert the mind

and the effort from its true purpose--

 

worldly gods of commerce and wealth

collude in ceaseless war

against the simplicity of humanity;

 

followers sing a catchy tune,

the clergy all have a master's in business,

and heretics hide secrets

in the pages of books

the faithful are forbidden to read.
