Everyone did themselves proud in my eyes.
As this was not all about money and prize.

So competitive and gruelling from day one.
Dissent, discord,unfair play there was none.
That's what the meaning of sport should be
Dignity and respect on show for all to see.

Some footballers should look at those games.
And look at the courage behind those names.
Think of all the bravery, admire the fair play.
No play acting on show, no officials to sway.

So next time you're rolling about in fake pain.
And reckon it's part and parcel of today's game.
Think about your actions and your self esteem.
And count yourself lucky you're living the dream
