For a long time he felt numb, the worries of the world passed him by without a feeling,

but so to did all the things that should have brought him joy.

He felt no sense of wonder from life,

not a lick of fear at the possibility of death or the loss of a family member.

The world seemed incapable of shaking him, but then she came into his life.

She shook him to his very core,

her every action, every word seemed to resonate with something inside him.

She brought him great joy as well as great sorrow, she taught him what it truly meant to be alive. That life was a wonderful thing even with the ever shifting highs and lows, that it gave life a bit of flare to it that spiced things up.

All of it was because of her, and he would spend the rest of his life trying to make up for what she has done for him by making her life as incredible as possible because at the end of the day she was worth that and so much more.
