Overcoming
Fear is not a weakness it’s an evolutionary trait that has served us well for ages,
All the while courage is not a lack of fear but overcoming it to do something that is greater than one’s self.
To put fear aside in order to help those in need and to protect those whom we hold close.
We must traverse the great mountains of our fear to stand ready in defence against those who would do us harm and protect what we have built.
We must stand above fear in defiance of those who would cause it.

Nickolas,
This reminds me of Chesterton`s famous point about paradox...that true courage requires fear.
But we should always be wary of foolhardiness...of diving into unknown situations without good cause.
Shakespeare has some very good points about what they used to call `valiantness` in his play Coriolanus.
