He has to leave.

She's not okay again.

It is getting to him and he needs to be there for her.

He knows I understand.

And I do.

"Claire, you're the best. I will make this up to you."

"No, Q, go help her feel better."

Still I'm devastated.

He hugs me, and I hold on as long as I can,

and then I let him go.

I have to go.

That is all I can think as I walk down the hall.

Claire will not be upset.

I know she'll understand.

She meets me halfway.

"Claire, I have to go home."

"Oh, is everything okay?"

"I don't feel well."

She understands immediately that I'm not talking about puking.

She knows that I have to go.

I'm glad she understands.

He has to go home.

He can't stay at school.

I need him to go home so he can focus on me.

He knows I haven't been well.

I hope he realizes that my health is more important.

I love Claire, but he loves me more.

My phone buzzes,

I glance down.

"You have recieved a message from Q:

'I'm home'".

This is fantastic, a brilliant way to address a complex issue. It took a second reading to pick out the 'voices', but I persevered and really enjoyed it.
