Here comes Christmas once more and I’m all aglow

It’s definitely my favourite time of year don’t you know

A very welcome break from the daily grind and toil

Time out from the tiresome commute regally royal

Looking forward to warm greetings and smiling faces

Full of frisky friendly festive spirit in all the right places

Santa and red nose Rudolf are zooming across the skies

Merrily drinking mulled wine and eating their mince pies

Sat contently in front of a roaring blazing fire alright

Outside my misty window the stars are burning bright

Presents engulfing and surrounding a tinsel laden tree

A very special one for you and a really nice one for me

Children’s shining worldwide eyes sparkling with glee

In exciting anticipation of gifts and surprises to see

Frosty the snowman sits all alone outside our door

He is very welcome but would melt all over the floor

It’s a great big joyous celebratory annual occasion

To be kind to one and all whatever your persuasion

Think of those less fortunate on this Christmas Eve

My yuletide motto is give and you shall receive

I wish the entire nation a peaceful and happy time
