Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

The walls are slow in their staggared breath,

filling up the space in which I stand silent.

A pin drops, and I do not hear it.

A floorboard seems to creak, but there is no sound.

All I sense are these walls, inconstant as the moon which varies so often in her cirled orb.
