John Hegley, Kate Fox and Ian McMillan lined up for writing retreat in Dales

A new writing retreat in the Yorkshire Dales is offering courses by John Hegley, Kate Fox, Ian McMillan, Fleur Adcock, Jane Draycott, Kim Moore, and a number of other poets and writers. From Easter Garsdale is offering courses on subjects such as taking your poetry further, the making and shaping of a poem, escaping the ego, discovering your voice, and a beginner’s guide. The courses take place in a converted coach-house, with accommodation and meals in the main Edwardian house. Course director Hamish Wilson said: “We have a strong line-up of tutors, leading lights in the fields of poetry, playwrighting and prose and we also provide un-tutored retreats where you can escape from the noise and bustle of everyday life into the peace and beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.” More details
