Blue Movie
It's better when I write things down,
I can be more meticulous.
Then I remember you called me a child and said I was ridiculous.
Perhaps you shouldn't have made yourself so inconspicuous,
it could be said that we would not have got into 'this'.
You picked at the conversation and I gave my participation.
I rather wish I hadn't for now I'm left anticipating.
Did the Indian Ocean pick out the deep hue of your eyes?
Did I cross your mind as you saw your towel dry in the mid day heat?
I hope that you did, I'd await your call for weeks.
Now to me you no longer speak,
I guess I've accepted you think I'm a freak.
I was good enough for my advice and for you to waste some of your time.
Now the tables have turned and it's I who is wasted, you well and truly put me through my paces.
You'll continue to drown in a sea of faces,
I hope you find the girl who likes your complacence.
We would have broke a few hearts but still made it through,
But you never saw me the way I saw you.
I put you in a movie and played it on repeat, expecting for the ending to turn out so sweet,
but I'm not your icon, your muse or your 'IT'
the scene it turned sour and the actors both quit.
Now you're a stranger and I'm left with growing pains,
Sometimes I take a breath and feel you fill my veins.

Firstly, full marks for the title Gen.
I liked the emotive story, flows really well but as Colin said it could have been chiseled down a bit. Less is more in some cases.
Nice work!
