The elusive sage
“Look at it closely” said the old man as he dragged on his roller,
smoke rings rising like halos in the evening sky
“the human awareness that we experience
is actually vibrations from the angelic orbits.
This is where our creativity is born, releasing our souls to soar.
It is here that our potential to bond with each other
emerges. Unreservedly.”
I moved closer to him on the bench…delving deeper, I begin to understand
that love is something that we feel for everyone
from our soul's perspective.
The old sage gleefully offers me one of his tacky rollers, baring brown teeth:
“Only then can you dwell in the realm of love.
“Go now my son” he said, “you are ready.”
“It’s there for you, just let it enter.”
So I left, turning back to have one last cursory look at him.
But he was gone.
