Apathy

 

An insidious disease permeates society

its tentacles reaching all of humanity

Embracing both rich and poor

and many others does it lure

 

It says ´Don´t care or ´Why should we worry´

no good helping lest we die in a hurry

We are powerless, let it be

no matter how clearly we may see

 

Roll over and go back to sleep

dream the dreams of the deep

Staying awake and striving for change

does little to effect life on the range

 

Be not anxious, do not bother to vote

go for walk, put on your coat

 

Economic collapse, wars might come

but really there is little to be done

Stay at home and take your ease

eat, drink and do as you please
