Because My Professor Can't Teach
The first line of the poem I heard while walking through my university's campus and from that I built upon the idea, hope you enjoy!
Because my professor can't teach I'm left to piece together a syllabus out of the whispers coming from the front seats, I show up to class early in hopes of changing my day, but it only ends in heartache when I can't seem to find my way. Through the chatter and questions I'm left to wonder why. This class exists and others aren't afraid to try.
Because my professor can't teach,I'm left to read the comment board online and hope to write a perfect essay out of misused lies. My parents are getting worried, but believe I go to class. At least I can keep up that facade forever I hope it lasts. My clothes are getting looser and I stop leaving my room. My friends constantly knock and wonder when I can go see the moon. Little do they know that I howl my heart out alone and weep into a pillow filled with stones.
Because my professor can't teach I watch my money go down the drain, And it gets stuck and sadly clogs up my brain. My hopes and dreams are shattered but I was always told to try, that's why dropping out isn't an option and either are my lies, I have to pass this class,I hope the review will fill me in on the secrets that we have been learning through the readings and the text.
Because my professor can't teach I'm left to play the blame game and hope that it's anyone's fault but mine
Because my professor can't teach I have to find other means to understand.
Because me professor can't teach I have failed the class
