My memory
Even though he might seem
Cold and bitter but still glee
Will take him over that very moment
He thinks of days he spent with me
Even though his heart might seem numb
But a broken smile is sure to come
The moment you will mention me
Will ignite the rumination spree
Even though he might appear
Under the spell of swaying breeze
Still somewhere in his eyes you might see
Memories of us twinkling like
The stars glistening at the sea.
Even though he might say, Love is lethal stay away, But when one sings those sonnets. Of love that he used to hum to me, He might join him as a kea He might seem lost again, In the shadows of past
Where all he hears is the echo
Of those vows that didnot last
His gaze might appear careless
Of glister and strokes of the clast
He might seem quiet he might seem still
Cold and dark, numb to thrill
But the hue in his eyes depicts those shades
Of how we used to love, how we caught the brill
Those days we spent with passion and warmth
When bouts of wine we used to swill
Stars sunset lakes and hills
Everywhere were us like the scent of dill,
Dancing on grass dreaming as a child
We used to sit or stroll or walk a mile
But never felt the slightest wink of sorrow
worries and fear never used to rile
But now we apart, these things most vile
Break us everyday what keeps us alive
Is the warmth of hands which we remember
It is what, now, we use to guile
He breathes with you but lives with me
Eats with you but remembers the brea
That we used to have at midnight
When hunger crept in through the spile
But now all he has is the memory of me
He still smiles when on those moments of glee
