mans sober state

Man must express emotion
Else it will hurt
be aware
Of the drunken bar spurt confessions
Of emotion
On the odd occasions
men finally admit
An ounce of loving feeling

And man must make amends
For statements that,
When sober pretend to be
Anything but obvious
And he may well do it in alcohol
Or the high of substance certain

But without prop
Or curious quill to write
He must connect to the climbing plight
And quest
Of an emotion set at rest
In a sober frame of mind

◄ one thing in particular

Hi Peter, you know poetry is not a race track.I think I feel enough for a few people and Im very tired of it.Ha I have had those male drunken blow outs, made a total fool of my self.

This is a very true poem! Men for their own sake need to express emotion. If you bottle it and shake it up and try and keep a top on it, it will expolde. great poem peter
