Little Black Sparrow
You want to see me cry.
Tears roll down my face. Not roll but escalate.
Room flooded with tears and I am trapped. drowning in my own sorrow
A black sparrow lands on the windowsill. "Come take me away!" Free me from this life that I now choose to fill with hate.
I can't take it anymore, need to escape.
Need to be embraced, assured that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hope still withstanding.
Once I leave there is no going back.
Little black sparrow set me free.
Let me go. Don't hold me down. Let me free. Can't take anymore, let me be.
What is the meaning of this labyrinth that I wish to escape. Not life nor death, but suffering and pain.
Black sparrow at my window, set me free!

I like how the transition switches between first-person, and third-person for you the writer, and the trapped bird. Very intriguing take on a subject some people take years to master. Good poem
