Pretense

Sight of grieve stricken eyes,
Mirroring a disquiet heart;
One stains a gullible face,
With the tears failing to stop,
While the other breaks into several pieces,
Unseen to the world…
Yet I endeavor to escape such muddled state,
And profess as gallantly as one can,
Using all my guile in mere pretense of aloofness,
Persuading the whole world otherwise…
