Of All The Beauty In The World

OF ALL THE BEAUTY IN THE WORLD

I never gave you fear.

I only ever gave you, yourself.

So many nights I have prayed,

So many days I have been left with question.

I lay down this fight, it’s not in me.

The repeats I can no longer bear.

And you’re not really here.

You were never really there.

And may I ask why?

What was the point?

What made you feel you deserve the ability to be numb?

What made you fearful?

And why does it come out on me?

You are the same non-priority in your life that I was.

And you don’t deserve that.
