The Second World

The Second World

I live in the First World

or so I am told

There is also a Third World

of which I know little

But is there a Second World?

I suppose there must be

A first and a third

would surely merit a second

Where is the Second World?

is it wedged between the

first and third?

Where can I find it?

Are maps available?

What are its characteristics

and features?

What language is spoken?

Can I visit this second world?

Do they do city breaks

or discounted holidays?

Are they perhaps the third world

aspiring to be the first world

but held in abeyance

I am perplexed

as no one refers to

the Second World

Do they have a charity

to which I can donate

or learn about their culture?

Could somone tell me please

where is the Second World?

Kevin & Adam, thank you indeed for your comments. Kevin, your comment has sparked considerable interest. A team of research anthropologists has been despatched to Yorkshire to investigate your claim. If you have any more information such as ethnicity, culture, language and history I would be grateful. Could this be the birth place of the Yorkshire Pudding? Goodness knows what will be revealed. Thanks. Keith

I always thought the 'second world' referred to the eastern bloc nations but now you're all making me doubt myself!

It's a little known Yorkshire town, and the language is very similar to English.

Nice one

Thank you Patricia and Graham for your interesting and kind comments. Graham; I think you come close to where the reality of the Second World is. I shall ponder on this. Thank you both again. Keith

It's invisible Keith! it's most likely found under damp archways or in shop doorways but it's really difficult to get a clear glimpse of!

Great idea! good work

Graham
