Deep Ambivalence
Everything's a sign
Except when it's not
Help me feel this deep ambivalence
I can feel no way out
We're left revealed
As the world spins opposite
Distance grows
Between thoughts and tongues
I meet you there
Caked in intentions
We spend hours getting back
To what we think in our thoughts
I feel fine despite signs
To the contrary
I live in moments
Easily forgotten
No need to resolve
Deep ambivalences
The rent's somewhat affordable
I'm moving there now

Hi Robert
you caught me with the two opening lines. I thought when I read this it had the feel of a song about it and then read your profile so I wasn't surprised. Either way it works well as a poem or a song.
love it, I hope to read more.
