Afeared rose

entry picture

He gave me a rose today,
It was not any Rose day,
But for his brutish words last night,
I know he is sorry so I smiled.
He gave me a rose today,
It was not our anniversary day,
But for the blood I haemorrhage last night,
I know he loves me so I smiled.
He gave me a rose today,
It was not Valentine's day,
But for the clash we had last night,
I know he cares for me so I smiled.
He gave me a rose today,
It wasn't any special day,
But for beating me last night,
I know he trusts me so I smiled.
He gave me a rose today,
It was not my birthday,
It was the day of my funeral,
But I was at comfort because I got rose for the last time.

This is very well thought out indeed. I would shorten the last line though, it looks to wordy compared to how succinct the rest of the work is.

Good work.
