Parallel Echoes of Love
In the long small hours of dark Through the later time of darkness
I pause and gaze out at the stars As we lay entwined beneath the moon
Somehow the frosted ground The nightly scene now sacred
Sharpens the air and the starlight Welcomes the soft moonglow
Which lights my very soul: Entering both our hearts:
Merciless piercing ivory light Soft gentle hunting owl light
Naked, I move across the grass Gladdened, we move across the space
Out, to the exact star centre On and on, to our close high point
To lie, and stare at heaven To lie, and feel our heaven
Crucified Satisfied

I read them both ways Chris - top marks for taking the time to think it through. I shall take a read of your phone friendly poem later. Col.
