Calling all poetry event organisers … can you please check your listings on Write Out Loud’s Gig Guide over the Christmas and New Year holiday period? At the moment (Saturday 16 December) Write Out Loud has 12 events listed as taking place on Monday 25 December (Christmas Day), and 13 on Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day). While this may represent a commendable dedication to staging poetry come what may, we suspect that some of these events may not be taking place. That goes for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as well. Surely shome mishtake? We don’t have the staff to chase up these individual events – so can you please dive in there and mark your event as Cancelled, if that is the case? Many thanks!
