Loves Contract

I should have read the contract.

I didn't know,

That loving you,

Would mean,

Losing myself.

If only I read the fine print.

Only I was already off with a sprint,

Racing towards you.

I tried to run away,

Only it was to late.

I fled with all I had,

Which wasn't much,

But just a tad.

A tad bit left,

Of myself,

Of my soul.

I didn't know,

I signed myself over,

Along with my soul,

When I began to love you.
